Babs was part of an elite female fighting force that was put together by a mysterious vintner. She and her team travelled internationally as saboteurs of rival vineyards. On a trip to France, however, she and her team were caught and interrogated ruthlessly by a mime-troupe.

The mimes took Babs' leg and left her for dead in the Rhone River. 

Nursing herself back to health was a long and hard road that ultimately led to joining B-Squad.
