ELEVATOR PITCH
B-SQUAD follows a squad of expendable mercenary misfits tasked with the dangerous and ridiculous missions no self respecting outfit would take on.
Every mission, the writer makes a behind the scenes die roll to determine which expendable mercenary will die and ultimately be replaced by a new rookie in the next adventure!
SUMMARY
B-Squad: Soldiers of Misfortune is an ambitious comic book series created by Eben Burgoon. Drawing inspiration from comics like CHEW and GOD HATES ASTRONAUTS or cartoons like THE VENTURE BROS. & RICK AND MORTY, B-Squad is a comedic playground for his ridiculous and outrageous premises and creating wacky characters and stirring them all together.
B-Squad enlists misfit mercenaries like:
A master of the Bro-Arts
Swimsuit model turned big game hunter
A Canadian private eye with a checkered past
A matronly WW2 Commando bent on crossing off her bucket list
A killer cat lady that trains her feral cats to become living weapons
B-Squad has faced missions where they've had to prevent hipsters from poaching free-range and inbred mogwai, rescue a billionaire from a tidal wave of hive-mind driven dachshunds, salvage winning lottery tickets from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, and raid a factory in the North Pole over suspicious KGB surveillance equipment inside toy elves!
Accolades
“The easiest way to think of this story is if the A-Team sucked at what they do, but it was awesome to watch them fail in the process.” - Comic Attack
"All-in-all, B-Squad is off to a strong start. The comedy is on point. The action is exciting. Death haunts in an awesomely upsetting way. The cast is unique and well written. The comic is pretty much as promised in a beautiful cartoony package." -Comic Book Herald
