Eben E.B. Burgoon has been writing for comics since 2007.  He co-created Eben07: Covert Custodian, an espionage-humor webcomic about the janitors who clean the mess left behind by super-spies, and now is focused on his new project, "B-Squad: Soldiers of Misfortune", which follows the ongoing adventures of a misfit group of mercenaries sent on equally dangerous and ridiculous missions.

Burgoon was an Editor’s Choice pick for SNR's Best of Sacramento for his work in comic books in 2013, collaborated with the Crocker Art Museum to start an annual “Crocker-Con”  comic book showcase, was part of the inaugural Sacramento Arts & Business Council’s Flywheel Creative Economy Incubator, and orchestrated a successful Kickstarter campaigns for B-Squad.

Eben studied international relations at Chico State and he minored in creative writing. He founded a Chico State improv troupe in 2000, studied sketch comedy writing with Chicago’s Second City, and performed in long-form improv shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004.
Burgoon is an avid lover of animation, television, and film.

He was responsible for developing and teaching a comic book program to teach elementary aged kids the fundamental of comic book writing, pitching to professional artists, and creating a comic book of the resulting collaboration. He's now taught over 250 elementary aged kids and 100s of adults techniques for creating and writing their own comic book ideas.

He is based in Sacramento, CA.

Dean Beattie
Artist for Tiny Wizards

Check out Dean’s book of poetry about crime and criminals, Bad Words!

Bio from Dean’s website:

I'm the creator (writer and illustrator) of Random Trials, the darkly funny comic book about secret drug testing - and the horrific side effects that afflict a number of unwitting subjects.

Set in and around a South London housing estate, Random Trials is for adult readers only - as it contains graphic fight scenes and more than it's fair share of naughty swears.

There are currently 3 issues available - and I'm working on issue 4 right now.

If you like movies like Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead - and TV shows like the X-Files - then you'll love Random Trials.

My work has been featured in a number of comic books including No Place Like Home (Image Comics), Dead Roots (a zombie anthology) and ZombieBomb (Terminal Press) - as well as in a whole host of titles across the UK Small Press comics scene.

Aside from comic books, my illustrations have appeared in publications including FHM and Empire Magazine.

If you're based in England you're likely to bump into me at one of the many comic cons that happen up and down the country - so please stop by to say hello! :-).
