September Events & Signings

September is right around the corner and I wanted to share that I’ve updated my list of “Come Find Me!” spots around Sacramento area. I’ve still trying to get out of my cautious Covid mode and eagerly hoping another round of boosters will help to keep us all a little safer as we close out 2022 and look toward 2023 with renewed purpose.

To be candid, I don’t have much booked out beyond September right now and putting a lot of optimism that these events will be enough to keep my candle alit for the rest of the year. I was optimistic about some events in October and, unfortunately, learned I won’t be tapped to return to Maker Faire: Rome’s 10th Edition and still working on some other applications and events for October and November while gearing up for, hopefully, a new edition of Tiny Wizards and, with a lot of luck, justify the return to Thought Bubble in 2022 — but that’s also looking increasingly unlikely.

If you’re reading this as a book shop, convention organizer, art space, library, teacher, or just avid Burgooney friend. Reach out! Maybe we can cook up something special!
Also more than willing to entertain 2023 if you’re getting your ducks in a row for 2023 already.

I will be returning to help voters cast their ballots at the California Museum vote center for 11 days across October and November, so double check your voter status, make sure you’re registered, and get you ballot turned in! If you’re curious about working at a vote center, reach out. The trainings are starting this month and there may still be time to on-board ahead of the 2022 General Election.
