Downtown Tom is a children’s book that follows the goofy journey of a wild and grumpy turkey navigating the perils of a small town. Jay was inspired by the tragic tales of real-life turkey that once brought his grumpiness to downtown Davis, Ca.

In the Downtown Tom book, we follow Tom through the streets of Davis before aiding in stopping a bike thief and being awarded a medal by the mayor. This book marks the first time I’ve illustrated a children’s book. It was a really special treat to work with Jay on it, and hope people have as much fun reading it to their kids as we had immortalizing Downtown Tom!
